January 24, 2008

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe all things should be done in order to show glory to him. Since I feel like I am called by him to teach elementary school kids, there are many things I would strive to do in the classroom. I would keep in mind that each of my children are fearfully and wonderfully made. With that being said, I would treat each and every one of them as God's creation. I would also submit a positive attitude and loving environment towards my fellow co-teachers and administrators. Showing them Christ's love through everything I say and do, but more importantly making sure he glows through my actions towards my kids in my classroom, etc.
Being a good, christian example at all times can be trying, especially in today's world. I know the pressure can seem somewhat stressful at times. Even though it can seem uneasy, I believe soaking myself in his word everyday, being an active member of a church family or small group, and being christ-centered in my family will certainly help in my daily walk at my job, as well as with the Lord. In doing all these things, living out what I feel like I have been called to do will be so much easier in my workplace if I continue to have a Christian perspective in all of my actions.
